Kim Cattrall: Hollywood Doesn't Want Me

Kim Cattrall sees no future for herself in Hollywood because they simply don't respect or have roles for many women over 50. "Hollywood is not in my future," she announced during the Aruba Film

Festival this past weekend promoting her new flick 'Meet Monica Velour.'

Cattrall gained weight for her role in the independent flick where she plays a down-on-her-luck porn star way past her prime, but she says she isn't interested in all the upkeep it takes (including plastic surgery) to get directors in Tinseltown to give her the time of day now that she is 54-years-old.

"I am not interested in being a Barbie Doll and turning myself into a sausage in the next twenty years," Cattrall said. "I want to go the road of actresses like Helen Mirren and Judy Dench who have lines on their face and aren't afraid of playing their age."

Those women may not be afraid to play their age, but there are few directors who want them, Cattrall says, which is why the 'Sex and the City' sexpot sees her future in the theater and in television, primarily outside of America.

"There aren't enough roles for women over 50," Cattrall told PopEater. "Directors here aren't interested in us. We have to go out there and make them for ourselves which is what I did with 'Monica Velour.'"

Cattrall insisted that it is the business of Hollywood to objectify actresses from a young age before brainwashing them to believe they have to fit into a certain type of package.

While many of Hollywood's dames bemoan their lot following their fifth decade and try (in vain) to plump, pert and tighten their assets to play leading roles, Cattrall insists she will be happy doing something else.

"I am looking forward to this stage in my life. I have always felt I have been a character actress in a leading lady's body and I think that's why big success came to me later in life," she said during a press conference at the Hyatt Regency Aruba hotel. "I hope the next 30 years will be more exciting. I am not in this to play it safe and that's why I do think Hollywood is not in my future and that's okay because there aren't many jobs for me anyway."

Elizabeth Hurley Finalizes Divorce

Elizabeth Hurley is now officially divorced following her December 2010 split from businessman, Arun Nayar. The parting of ways was signed on the dotted line with the cited reason being "unreasonable behavior," according to People.

The pair tied the knot in 2007 at an English castle -- not far off from a royal wedding -- and had a four year courtship leading up to their nuptials. But emotional baggage from her previous 13-year relationship with Hugh Grant wasn't all Hurley brought to the marriage, Nayar also played stepdad to Hurley's 9-year-old son, Damian -- whose father is Hurley's ex, Stephen Bing.

Maria Shriver Hides Anger, Puts Kids First

Maria Shriver's entire world was turned upside down when she discovered that her husband, Arnold Schwarzenegger, had fathered a lovechild with the family's housekeeper -- who had worked

for the couple for 20 years -- Mildred Baena. But Shriver knew that she could not change the past and has vowed to continue to put her children first in the future.

"While Maria may not have been as angry at Mildred as she was at Arnold, her instinct would be to protect her family," an inside source told People. "Whatever she did in the aftermath was about taking care of her kids, trying to shield them and trying to minimize the repercussions."

A task that, even though Baena told her entire side of the story to Hello! magazine, Shriver has kept to -- she has yet to comment on the magazine's tell all style story.

Adhering to the long Kennedy tradition of keeping your emotions in check, Baena recalls a graceful Shriver who, after confronting Baena about her husband's affair, picks the sobbing 'other woman' off the floor to embrace her.

"Maria asked me directly if Joseph was Arnold's son, and I just broke down," Baena said. "I dropped to my knees and I was crying, saying that yes he was and I was so sorry ... She was so strong. She cried with me and told me to get off my knees. We held each other and I told her it wasn't Arnie's fault, that it takes two."

But Baena's admission that her son, Joseph, was Schwarzenegger's biological child wasn't a fact that was always to clear to Baena or Schwarzenegger.

"Arnold's been providing for the kid ever since he found out he was the father, which was when the kid was a young child," the source continued. "He did not know when she was pregnant and perhaps not even until he was a toddler, but he knew when the boy was very young."

Thirteen-year-old Joseph seemed to be the only one who had not had suspicions that he looked oddly like his mother's 'The Terminator' boss. When Baena finally told Joseph, at the age of 13, that Schwarzenegger was his biological father, the young boy -- who was not able to graduate with his middle school class due to the media storm -- simply responded, "cool."

With the worst of a family's secrets now in the open, it seems as though the Schwarzenegger-Shriver-Baena group can finally begin to heal.
